There has been some confusion surrounding the rules of voting for the Elevation Video Competition and IDM would like to clarify a few things to avoid confusion and upset.
We apologise if any confusion has been caused by the slight amendments to the introductory rules at the beginning of the top 10 videos. The competition is being run in a similar way to X Factor, in that whichever video receives the most votes, will win the competition. We stated from the outset of the competition that the top 10 videos would be featured on IDM.com and the voting would be done by you, the members of IDM.com, to find a winner of the competition. Please remember that this is supposed to be a friendly competition and in no way does IDM condone negative behaviour towards or about other contestants videos. It is simply down to whichever video receives the most votes. Please respect this.

Nikita dances for Unicorn in Kharkow (Ukraine) which belongs to the WIDA organisation. He is a European Champion already and danced at the Worlds this year. He went down brilliantly with the crowd and judges and I want to know what you guys think of his dancing? Should he go through to the final of the show? Is he better than Stavros Flatley?!

Flatley wished Britain's Got Talent duo 'Stavros Flatley' the best of luck in the Daily Mirror today.

The Riverdance creator gave them a big thumbs up for the father and son team for Saturday's final.

In a message of support to Demetrious Demetriou and son Lagi, Flatley said: "Demetrios and Lagi's family spirit is something that has touched everyone and is to be much admired. Best of luck in the final, Stavros Flatley!"

The duo are busy working on a "unique" version of Lord of the Dance and I don't know about you, but all of us at IDM can't wait to see it on Saturday's show!

Can you believe there are just 11 days left until the deadline for the Elevation Video Competition! The entries we have received so far are brilliant so make sure you don't leave it too late to be in with a chance of winning your very own Elevation Irish Dancing dress worth £1,000!
Create a video of no more than three minutes in length that shows the world: What Irish Dancing means to me! It could be of you and your friends dancing, a puppet show, play...whatever you want! It can be funny, silly, or serious as long as it is dance related and includes the word Elevation...You could shout it, sing it, hold up a sign...anything! All you have to do is...Film your routine on your phone, webcam or video recorder. You can either upload your video to YouTube and send the link to lucy@irishdancing.com or posted on CD to: Elevation Video Competition, IDM, Unit 2.4 Paintworks, Arnos Vale, Bristol, BS4 3EH by June 1st 2009. Deadline: June 1st 2009 The best 10 videos will be showcased on both IDM's and Elevation Design's website.
