"IDMers have to send you a photograph depicting the phrase "IDM, I LOVE YOU!" This can take any form, like using old copies of IDM to form a picture or decorating a cake or whatever springs to mind! This way we will all be encouraged to get very creative, and you will have lots of nice pictures to publish in the magazine!"
The top 10 pictures will then be posted on www.irishdancing.com for everyone to vote for their favourite entry. The lucky winner will win a year's subscription to IDM so it is a competition you simply have to enter!
Email your pictures to lucy@irishdancing or send them to: IDM Valentine's Day Competition, Unit 2.4, Paintworks, Bath Road, Bristol, UK, bs4 3eh.
Competition deadline: Monday 8th February 2010

Is now up! Remember, the first 5 people to message me telling me where they found all 12 puzzle images and what they all make when put together will receive an IDM goody bag. Get hunting! Lucy x
We are coming very close to the end of the treasure hunt and there is just one more piece to find! There was a slight error yesterday when puzzle image 10 was hidden again. Please ignore its second hiding spot of the North American Nationals results. Where will the final piece to the puzzle be hidden? Who knows! Keep searching until Thursday 31st December when you will be able to piece all 12 pieces together and figure out what the puzzle is. Remember, the first 5 people to tell me where all 12 pieces were hidden and what they make as a whole will win an IDM Goody bag! Happy Festive holidays everyone and I hope you're enjoying the hunt! Lucy
The wait is nearly over. The first piece of the Christmas puzzle is coming soon. Remember, only message me once you have found all 12 pieces of the puzzle, telling me where you found each piece and what the final puzzle picture is.
There might be 2 pieces one day or just the one to keep it exciting! Have fun! Lucy x
From Monday 21st to Thursday 31st December 2009 I will be hiding a section of a festive jigsaw somewhere on the site every day. There will be 12 pieces in total and once you have found ALL of them, you need to message me and tell me exactly where you found all 12 pieces and what the complete jigsaw picture is of.
The first five people to message me with a correct list of all 12 hiding places and a description of what the jigsaw is of will be awarded with a fabulous IDM goody bag.
Everyone else who messages me with the correct answers will be awarded with a special IDM Christmas 2009 Treasure Hunt medal and 500 profile points!
I hope this adds to the fun times you will be having over the Christmas period. Merry Christmas everyone!
The February issue is going to be jam-packed with a Team and Music Special, plus pics and results from the New England and Mid Atlantic Oireachtai! Wow! We want to get you all involved in this issue as well so I want to ask you all a couple of questions about dancing in a team for the IDM Health and Beauty Corner.
Here are the questions:
When it comes to applying make up before your team dance, do you all help each other?
Do you all go for the same look when applying make up?
What are your fave make up products?
Please send your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 14th December, with details of your name, age and school, along with a picture of your team. We will try and feature as many of your answers as possible - how cool is that?
Don't forget that we are also recruiting people who have February Birthday's! Anyone with a birthday in February can be in with a chance of featuring in the magazine - just drop me a line telling me: the date of your birthday, how old you will be, your ID achievements, other hobbies you have and a picture of yourself. Email it to: email@example.com by Monday 14th December.
Don't forget that we love hearing about your cringeworthy ID stories and always love hearing about your latest achievement and ID news so keep it coming!
I can't wait to hear from everybody!
