We have made it!

IDM have finally made it to the All Irelands in Killarney having been delayed by a day because of the heavy snow in Bristol. We set out very early Friday morning and there was so much snow we couldn't make it to the airport - it was complete chaos! We then attempted it a second time and it was a pretty scary ride but we made it there in the end only to find that our flight had been cancelled! Can you believe it?! It has been a very long two days but we are so excited to be in Killarney for such a great event and can't wait to meet everyone tomorrow. It's definitely bedtime for me now but I'll keep you posted on all the fun and games at the All Irelands over the next few days. Goodnight! Lucyx

IDM Riverdance Exclusive!

Riverdance kick-started its UK tour in Bristol on Monday 26th January and I was lucky enough to catch the show in all its glory!
Lead Dancers Maria Buffini and Joe Moriarty led the cast in a mindblowing performance, leaving the audience completely spellbound by the amazing talent. IDM caught up with the shows Executive Producer Julian Erskine, and you'll be extremely excited to find out what he told us.....When asked what he will do after Riverdance, he replied:
"Riverdance is not ending! It’s true that this is our farewell tour in the UK. But we will continue to tour elsewhere, as well as focusing on new audiences like China and the Middle East. It is not over…"
So if you have always dreamed of performing in Riverdance, there is still a chance that it will come true! Keep practicing hard and you might be the next ones wowing audiences around the world in the next Riverdance tour.

Michael Flatley Hosts Superstars of Dance

Did anyone see 'Superstars of Dance,' an international dance show where skilled dancers from eight different nations compete against each other? It is hosted by Michael Flatley and NBC aired the first show on Sunday evening in America. Michael said that the Irish team are like an Irish army as a result of the speed at which they tap in unison! I think it sounds like a great show as it is a real mix of cultures with competitors from Ireland, India, USA, China, Russia, South Africa and Australia. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch the show but I would love to hear feedback from anyone who managed to. Can't wait to hear from you, Lucy x
