Q: What photos should I put up?
A:Do not put any photos online that feature someone who has not given their consent. If you're not sure, you should always ask you Parents or guardians.
Q: Someone is contacting me and saying inappropriate things to me, what should I do?
A:Let cameron.irishdancing know IMMEDIATELY or email to cameron@irishdancing.com and tell your Parents or guardian.
Q: I want member points, I must have them! How do I get them?
A: You get points for doing activities on the site. Like posting on the forum, adding photos, inviting a friend (they have to join to get points), and leaving messages on profiles.
Q How do the points work?
A:You are assigned points for most things you do on the site. You get points for adding photos, friends and comments. But please note, if you delete any pictures or comments, you will lose those points as the points are calculated every time counting each item.
Q: What is the pink box with Quotation marks at the top and bottom?
A: This is the place for your blurb. This is a brief description of yourself. You can add/edit your blurb by clicking on My Irish Dance Space, clicking on the Edit link, then selecting the "Account Information" tab. There you will find a box labelled "Blurb". Type your description in here and it will be shown to all the members who view your forum.
Q: Why am I never in the "Cool People" list?
A: The cool people list is a random selection of the last few people to use the site. We have excluded you from your own view to enable you to see more people. Be assured that other people will see you so you have not been excluded totally.
Q: how do I enter my information, such as my Dancing school and achievements.
A: Click on My Irish Dancing Space, then click on the Edit link. This will allow you to edit your profile and enter all your important information.
Q How do I add more people to my Friends list?
A: Click on More Cool People to bring up a list of all members. Click on any one to view their profile. Now you'll see a "Add to buddy list" link. Click on it. They're now added to your friends list.
Q How do I search for friends?
A:Just go to the search area (top right tool bar)click search. Then you'll get 2 tabs, select the "users" tab then search for the user's name.
Q Something isn't working for me!!?
A:Just email me (cameron@irishdancing.com) and I'll get on it to fix it.
Q What are those little badge things on peoples profiles?
A: Click here
Q What does <Javascript Removed> in my profile mean?
A: Unfortunately, due to the malicious capabilities of Javascript, we have had to block adding it to the profiles. We hope this does not upset too many people, but we're sure you'll understand that it is better to have a safer site.
