Then how, may I ask, are you any better than the original haters? If they hate LGBTQ people, then hating them back makes you just as bad.

The honourable thing to do is to just ignore them when they're not hurting anyone and stand up for their victims when they are trying to hurt someone, emotionally or otherwise. Don't work yourself up with hatred, that's just what they're doing.

And even though I agree with you that discriminating against LGBTQ people is a Bad Thing, I don't hate people who hate non-heterosexual people - I feel sorry for the way they're shutting their minds off, and frankly, a little disgusted at them for hating people for something they can't change. But as long as they are not hurting/mistreating anyone in any way (which, sadly, usually is not the case), they are welcome to their close-minded and discriminatory opinion.

I don't know what ur talking about. If they hate gays I have every right to hate them....hate makes the world an interesting place don't u think? if we all loved each other we would be like zombies........make sense? zombies want brains.........so I think all humans r safe.

I think it is sad to say that you hate any particular group of people. That is the same as saying I hate everyone with freckles. (I have freckles!) You might not like something about someone who has freckles - but you might have some other friends who you really like who have freckles. Everyone has things and beliefs that are different from each other and while you might not agree with what everyone else believes or does - you might even dislike some things, I bet if you look very hard at every person you will be able to find something that you like about them too.

There is a difference between hating people and thinking they are wrong. I don't support gay marriage, but I don't hate gay people, because I don't believe that people just decide to be gay. I think they are people with rights just like everyone else, and that it's horrible the way they get bullied and even attacked. I don't think that same sex marriage is right, but the people who willingly hurt other people are far worse.

It's really hard for anyone to talk about this without offending people, I just wanted to make the point that not everyone who doesn't support gay marriages are hateful. I think most of us are willing to get along with gay people even though we don't agree with them.

I don't see what people's problem is with non-heterosexual people. To me, discriminating against them is like discriminating against coloured people or people with different religious beliefs. I think that people should mind their own business, it doesn't affect anyone else if two people decide to get married and there isn't a big difference between a man and a woman getting married and a man and a man/woman and a woman.

However, I am a firm believer in free will, as long as people aren't hurting others, they can do what they like. So, I don't 'hate' people that hate gays, but I think it's sad because most of the time the people are just closed-minded and I think that is mostly because of society. I don't know everyone in the world, and people may have a specific and understandable reason for hating gay person, just as with any person, but I don't think they should single out a minority group to hate.

I think the same sex have every right to marry!!! They are born that way. U dont chose who u fall in love with randomly. U cant control who u r. people should try harder to be themselves. My sisster is bisexual. :mad:

I don't think this conversation should turn into a fight about gay rights. There was a conversation on here once about gay rights and the thread was closed. If you're going to post about the rights of others, then you have to understand that people have different opinions, and we need to respect their opinions. Saying you hate people is not respecting them, and I don't feel like saying you hate people is an appropiate thing ti post.
