Sounds like my mom lol. I'm working on changing that so she won't have so much then I can take care of myself. Maybe I'll teach her ID sometime she loves it as much as I do.

Well, my mum did dancing when she was young and can still do all the basics. But she doesn't do it any more - except when she gets together with her sisters in public... oh the shame!
my dad knows the dance but he doesn't dance. Me and my sister are the dancers though. I'm gonna be a dancing mum when i'm older though...definately :)

I wish I could learn. We don't have any adult classes and I don't want to go into a with 6&7 year olds. Plus with firebolt & se2z both doing 2 2-hour classes per week plus a 2-hour ceili class - I just can't afford for me to dance as well.

I want mini2z and tonythegreatsdad to start dancing. (Don't worry about the money - we'll have a cake sale.) There is nothing in the world that is as much fun as ID. You don't have to compete at all, just messing around at lessons is SO UPLIFTING!!! Come on you two, please try it? PLEASE? ;)

If you know my father doesn't dance ;) but he's a great ID-fan, Irish music fan and Ireland fan. And I think it's better he doesn't dance, because maybe than he doesn't have enough time to manage me ;) ;)

Neither of my parents ID, I like it that way because I need them to support me and they do that really well now and I'd like to keep it that way! :) If either of them did start IDing then I would help them learn and of course be very supportive if they started competing :)

HAHA!! My parents...dancing?!?!?! We have tried for SOOO long to teach them. My mom has leap-2-3s down pretty well but my dad...err...he still has the typical flailing of the legs riverdance impression thing going on...
We actually got my aunt to learn the light jig. Once we put a wig on her and had a mini-feis in the backyard! It was great!!! She's such a good sport.

LOL:) That is just too great. I've taught my mom how to do leaps. My dad and brother kinda make fun of it and the music gets on their nerves. They would never dance! LOL:) My dad is good at paying for dresses though!

My mum Irish dances and she loves it! My dad and I are proud to have dancers in the family, although he can't stand Micheal Flatley! He tells me, "If you ever get a boyfriend like that, I'll..." um, deal with him in a gruesome fashion. Lucky for dad, I'm not even into that sort of thing, I'm too busy with my art! Still, I like that my mum dances. Dad's even played along when I had to teach him a ballet step at a school function... full marks for trying!
