They have ruined my life! I can't eat junk! WAAAAAA!!!!!!! I also have metal bars on each side of my mouth attached to my molars. It is absolutley awful.

KATHLEEN YOU HAVE THEM? I'VE NEVER NOTICED I know erin has them though. I have them I've had them for three years now and they were suposed to be off in two and the orthodontisted usually tells you when you'll have 'em off,no word yet.;( Oh well,I'll just have really nice teeth after this.

had those! Bar things too! I've also had rubberbands and metal springs attaced to my molars- ouch!!!!!!!!!!!! they broke one or two times and we called them they told my mom to take the rest of them off with ROSE PRUNERS!!!!!! THAT DIDN"T even work!!!!!!!! so we used a jewlery cutter - scary stuff! my freind has a expander that moves the bones in her mouth it's a plastic rod on the roof with a bunch of metal,people can't beleiuve how much stuff they put in your mouth.
Right now I have chanes on upper and lower and rubberbands at night.

Those bars are absolutley awful! I've never broke mine, but I did get them stuck once when I tried to fit my fist in my mouth :p

oh... ive had braces for 3 1/2 years and i still have a year to go! AHHHHH! i dont remember what it was like to not have them. i hate them!

I used to have them, but they got taken off last year. I was the first out of all my friends to have had them and had them taken off! The funny thing is, I actually miss them in a way... actually it's only the colours I miss. I'm the sort of braces guru with my friends, "been there, done that"!

I had braces for SOOO long! Then they came off and EVEN THOUGH I wore my retainers 24/7...my teeth moved...argh
Then I had to get them BACK on for about a year. But now they're off so I can't complain! And I've got straight teeth :)

I have to get braces-oddly excited about that, they look so cool!-but I've had a spacer thing before. I hated it! i didn't even need it! Apparently it screwed up my teeth more! How lousy!:mad:

It was a little metal ring that she was trying to squeeze onto my bar, her squeeze tool slipped, thus snapping the bar and sending the metal ring down my throat, then she gasped and caught it with her little tool thus gagging me. They are so clumsy!

Hi i have braces 2 top and bottom they hurt so much i just had mine totlay re-done so i havent been eating properly:mad: . When i 1st got mine in i decided i didnt like them so i eat everything they told me not to eat like chewing gum toffee boiled sweets ect...
but now i broke thm so much and been throught the pain i deciced to leave thm and eat noramally lol.
gd luck with every1 who has braces and listen 2 u dentist lol

I never actually had brackets on all my teeth. I had four brackets on my four front teeth and wire on the rest., One time when I was eating tacos I accidently swallowed my wire and had to go to the emergency room :mad:

Oh my! That must have been very painful!

I still have wires glued to the back of my teeth to stop them going back to their old position (very squiff!) and sometimes the glue-blobs beak off my teeth and I have to get the orthodontist to glue back the wire. Plus I have to wear a retainer at night but I've gotten used to it.

I have them!!! I love changing the colours on them!!! I have red elastics right now!!! I also have a VERY annoying elastic from my top canine to my bottom canine on one side!!!
