I do jazz as well as irish and so i'm used to being able to spot with my head while turning but you're not allowed to in irish... so now whenever I do turns in irish I get soooo dizzy!!
does anyone else find this?

awe... just try to turn slower and slowly get faster and faster.. you just need to get used to it more.

I'm getting better at them the more I practice - particularly jump turns which is really good because I used to be soooo terrible at them!

There was a person at our school who used to spot all the time! But they had to learn not to! They had to practice really hard, but they eventually got it! They dont go to our school any more, though. Just keep trying it and youll get it too!!

Go a little slower but still be on time if that makes sence. Lock your knees and DON'T BOUNCE! That will really help.

I found that my problem is I sink on my toes and knees in between spins, so it makes me waaay dizzier. If you pull up it helps a BUNCH :)

also, you can try to make your turns less snappy and dramatic. Make them more graceful and gradual. :)
(Just another idea)

I'm glad I could help.
I just thought of it because some dancers use too much drama and snappiness (aka.... me) and it sometimes turns judges off... (according to my teacher)
And the sharper the turn, the more likely the dizziness.
