Profile problems

If anyone is having problems with the information changing in their profiles please reply to this thread and let me know what the problem is.

My profile currently says I'm a dancer and I'm 18! I wish I could go back all those years! I'm apparently from Kent now and not Canada...

The pictures are still my kidlets...

So the whole "About Me" section is messed up

The Basic info is messed up...

Could it be because the screen names or the passwords are similar so that the comp is getting a bit confused, or is it an internal server error?

id imagine internal sever error, maybe even a mistake in the sites code

Yer I've noticed most of the time it says 'internal server error' the site was being updates. Like the other day it said it and aftyer i found that the search had been updated!

i recently got over the 1000 points and got a bronze medal but it keep disappearing. Can you tell me why this is happening???:D

I'm not quite sure, but my guess is that you're not looking at your id space and you're public profile as two different things.

the public one is how everyone sees it. the id space is how you see it.

on my id space i only see 2 medals when really I have 3 different ones.

so basically, you probably still have it all the time, it's just you aren't seeing it.

if you go and look at your sn above your post and click on it and then view public profile, most likely you'll see it there. :D

if it's not there, then pm admin and they'll get it sorted out. :)

:) If you look on the home page of idm tamasine has said not to be worried that nobodys details have been leaked. its just a mix up and they are sorting it. Mine was really messed up but i fixed it up. It does make you worry but when Tamasine says she is sorting it, it will be looked into.

The problem seems to be that the server is not as large as it should be for this many users. IDM must have underestimated how many people would join. I can totally understand that since, even i could not have dreamed how many people would and still are joining IDM web.

they are looking into a server upgrade that will help keep the web moving the way it should and might cut down on the glitches. Yes, a new password will help. and no one has gotten into her profile.

I suppose there might be a glitch because the points are so close to another persons and such. as those who have just started or have so many points have no problems.

pming admin will take some time. there are a ton of people with this problem and they are trying to sort it out. so don't expect a reply right away.

Thanks If you delete photos in your gallery do you lose points because I got points for addding them do i lose points for deleting them??

I've got a problem too...
I wanted to click on the profiles of others and this happened:
"You are not authorized to access this page or you are already logged in!"
I tried this with almost everyone but it's always the same!
I can't enter todays comp too...and I'm not allowed to send private messages!
I wonder if I'm allowed to post this lol

The bit about other peoples proflies is sorted. I had that earlier today but it's ok now :)

The Editing profile has been put to IDMadmins attention so hopefully soon it will all be sorted out :)

The thing is I don't like that my personal information may have been on someone else's site & available to them. I had all of a 15 year old girl's information in my profile when I changed it all back to my stuff. What worries me is someone else's PRIVATE info that YOU should NOT ever give out was right there when I tried to update my profile. If I could see her stuff then where & who had my information? That's a REAL security concern to me as a parent!

My daughter's account has been altered too, I actually opened this account to try to straighten it out. Her password now seems to have changed so that she can't even log in to try to fix it herself. I have pm'ed Idmadmin to try to get it fixed, but I, too, am uncomfortable about it, since the password no longer works.
So I really hope it gets worked out quickly!

It's not that it was altered, it seems like profiles were switched with the exception of name & photos stayed the same. Now I can't get in to modify mine either. Maybe they turned it off?

You're right, it is more that it was switched around- I guess I worded it wrong. I wonder where her actual information went! Before, though, we could at least get into her account, and now we can't even get logged in. I'm sure they're working on it, but I feel uncomfortable with her information being somewhere else!!:D

My profile was recently altered but I changed it back, but my sister can't even login to hers. I have PM-ed IDadmin but havent recived an answer.

Good news.
We have isolated the problem causing profiles being edited. It was due to a problem with the registration method, and resulted in the profile data being overwritten.

We have corrected this problem and your profiles should no longer change.
