What i've done is the splits (Front to back, not side to side). I didn't used to be able to do them, but once a day i'd go as far as i could, so that i could feel the stretch, and hold it for bout 3 seconds. After a while i started getting lowere and lowere, and now i can do them properly. I can get my kicks really high now, with hardly any effort. Another thing that might help is sitting crossed legged as much as possible. it might not improve your overs or kicks, but it'll certainly improve your cuts, and you legs will loosen up a hell of alot. Hope this helps ^^

Well they still hurt me too, but i promise you it helps. try it, if it continues to hurt anddoesn't seem to be having an effect stop, you dont want to injure yourself

Your physiotherapist should have some stretches for you to do as well; they are great with body-type questions! Another great one is to stand up and take one leg and put it on top of something a bit above waist-height (ie: fireplace mantle, countertop....). Then, just reach forward!

Also, standing with your feet together and trying to touch your toes is a hamstring stretch. Sitting down with your feet out in front of you and trying to reach past your toes is another one. Try google.....you'll find a TON of stretches there too.

I stand up and put one lig about two feet in front of me (on the ground). Then I reach for that foot. Then I do it on the other side. I also strech my other leg muscles around it. When those are loose then your hamstrings will be too.:D

I use all of them too. They are all really useful
