I received ap hone call from my dancing teacher a few hours ago.
The south leinsters comp that was called off few weeks ago due to the floods is being run this Friday for us Ard Grads.

Only getting notice of this now it is lucky I am on hols from work, 6pm friday solos and awards after.

I really dont think this is fair it will be all hours before we get out of there :mad: :mad: :mad:

Not to mention dancing reel, slip jig, single jig, treble jig, hornpipe followed by reel and set dance!

It will be very hard going, I only had my baby 5 months ago and was hoping for a break between the awards and the solos :(

Thanks girls I am only aiming to qualify for the all irelands only back dancing 2 months having not danced in nearly 2 years will give it my best!! :)

Just to let u all know, I placed 2nd in reel, slip jig and single jig, and 1st in treble jig and hornpipe, and I won the Ard Grad o21 awards, not bad 5 months after having a baby :D

I've been worried about postpartum dancing since the doctor said "yeah, Irish Dancing is too high impact if you want to keep those kids inside as long as you can"

Thank you for the good will messages, I will dance at the highest level as long as my body will allow me.
I am in the process now of changing my steps for the all irelands in april/may.
Want to make a big impact on them this year ;)
It is the only thing I have not won in so many years dancing have come so close a few times, I am determined to do everything I can this year, it will be hard with 2 children to look after but my partner is great, very supportive so fingers crossed for me xx
