Long distance

So while vacationing this summer I met this really nice guy. Nothing serious, just friends, but we text each other almost every night. The only issue is that he lives almost 2,000 miles away from me and he's going to college in the fall. I don't want to be his girlfriend but I would like to stay friends. I'm not going to see him again until next summer and I'm not quite sure what to do. =/

If you're going to see him next Summer, don't worry about it! Since you have his number and he has yours, you shouldn't be worried. At least you will still be able to contact him! I'm sure he'll be the same, and you'll be the same! :)

Why do you feel you need to do anything? Things sound good as they are. It's fun to keep contact like you are doing now, and if something more develops - well and good. If it fizzles out, the friendshio wasn't meant to be. In the meantime, enjoy it!

i would keep contact with him. my friend moved an hour and a half (i know its not 2000 miles but...) away. she moved about 8 years ago and i only see her once a year. we are still great friends. we text and email each other to keep in touch.
