when your teacher watches you

does anyone else hate it when your teacher watches you dance at a feis???

I always like it.It's nice for her to tell me how I did.I mean she's not the judge,but she can give you the idea.Why do you hate it/

No, I love it! Except when I make a mistake, then it's kind of embaressing, but she'd find out anyway.

I really like it when my Teacher is there to support me in my dancing and watch me.
With her there it feels like I am at Dance Class except that their is a Audience and I am dancing with Dancers that I don't know.:p
But I like it.
And she always hugs me after I did good.
I like that.
She is so nice and I couldn't have asked for a better Teacher.:)

I like that my teacher is there supporting me, but I also think it puts pressure on me to do everything right, or else she will see it haha :p

I absolutely LOVE it when my teacher watches me!
Like everyone else said it's nice to have them supporting you but it's also nice to know that they took the time to watch YOU. There's a ton of dancers in your school that are dancing at the same time as you and your teacher picked you to watch.
I love it when my teacher watches me because I come off stage and they're like "That was a great round. Keep it up."
I think you should try to learn to love it!

I like it when I know my teacher is watching me! During my set at states this year, because the stage was lower than the seating I could see my teacher and she was telling me to watch my timing! It was very helpful.

my teacher always watches me compete. i don't have a problem with it. she always gives better feedback than my mum who always just says it looked good. we are only a small school so my teacher always watches all of the girls from our school compete

I love it when my teacher watches me! Especily when I won a first for that dance, or when I'm getting a trophy of something. But I can see why you wouln't like it.

Nah, I find it kinda scary. Because if they're not there, you can just make it up, you know? Do anything. Do your old steps, do someone else's steps that you learned without your teacher realising ... and if they're there you have to really think and you can't do that.

I love it when both my dance teacher and her awesome mom (who is like my grandma!) come and wath me! Sometimes I feel that I didn't do well but she can always tell me how I did. She might also come with me to get results and she always congratulates me on a job well done!

I haven't started competing yet, but when I do, I hope my teacher watches one or two of my dances. I think her opinion would be very valuable. :)

Although, in class, inevitably, I'll do something perfectly and then as soon as my teacher starts looking at me, I'll flub it at least once. XD But still, better to flub it while she's watching and can correct me then when I'm at home and won't know how to correct it! XD

Well.. I like my teacher being proud of me and everything but also she wants me to stick to a old step that she made up, I made up a whole reel but she wont let me do it. I think if I go to a feis I might do it to test it out.. see how I get on.. but I might just listen to her.. I dont know :P

I like knowing that she watches me when I do well because if she feels you do well she will say so. When you mess up she makes you go over the step again.

I hate when my tearchers watch me dacne even when it's just class. At the WRO I saw my ADCRG and most for the TCRG's from my dance school watch both my dance rounds it freaked me out so bad.

I agree with you that it can get a little scary in a way. The first time she came to watch me I freaked out and messed up my entire slip jig! But the second time she came, I didn't get too nervous and I just danced my best!
