Smile How far will you take it?

Hi, just curious! For many, Irish dance is a way of life. For others it's a neat hobby. What is it for you? We spend YEARS studying this, how far do you think you'll take it? To Michael Flatley or Colin Dunne? Or are you going to use this as a way to help other people? Thanks!!!

I'd LOVE to be in a show, that'd be awesome. I'm not gonna make it happen though. Since i've been in irish dancing the best thing that have happened just came naturally. I'm gonna try for my teachers exams in the next couple of years hopefully, then maybe teach when i'm older. I could never give irish dancing up, and passing the torch on is a great way of keeping it alive.

Cool, thanks for writing in!!! I really want to start a foundation to help people through dance (I'm only in Beg. 2 so this might be a bit extreme I suppose). I wanted to know what other dancers were planning to do with the skill. Good luck to those who want to be in a show!!! It would be soo cool and totally amazing, but I don't think I could handle it!!! Every girl in the world is waiting for that one role that they've dreamed about forever,... too much preasure!!!

I would love to get my TCRG some day. I would love to be a professional dancer and I really want to go to an arts college to study dance, although it would not be ID, since they don't offer that. but whatever I do, i plan to keep doing ID. Being in a show would be awesome. I just want to dance!!!!

I already help teach the boys in my school, but I really want to take it further. I want to be in a show, but I know if I want to be a lead role in the show, I've got to get a lot better. I also what to start my own school. It would be really awesome to put your thoghts in to another persons dancing. That waould be cool.

I would love to be in a show that is the ultimate dream also do a degree in dance.Even if all that was to fail(touch wood it does not)then i will always open up my own dancing school when I'm older but first I want a career in irish dancing before teaching because there's just too much to pass by and then hopefully I will have more experience and knowledge when teaching the knew generations.so either way irish dancing will always be in my life 'till the day I die(and even then dance will live on!!)

I want to join the Dance for life Foundation that tours in New Zealand. They put on dance shows/benefits that are sponsored by people who support trying to fight for cancer. It's something I'd love to be apart of! Does anyone know anything more about it???

I would love to get a TCRG someday, but I'm not sture if i'm going to Irish dancing is for me, the closest way to connect to something I love.. the dancing, the irish culture and the music.. I recently began to play the flute, as I've always love the music, (trying to) playing it myself and dancing is just ways to express how I feel
