Erm... I'm really confused.
Basically my mum has loads of books all over the house about dieting. I picked up one yesterday and read through it, LOSE 7 POUNDS IN 7 DAYS!, and it seemed like quite a good idea but you basically live off JUST juice &+ smoothies for 7 days. I think that's a kind of silly book. The way to lose weight is to eat less and burn more calories, not to eat certain kinds of food. If you don't have a balanced diet, it can make you get tired or even sick.

i think that if you just live off liquid you will be tired nd sick. it seems kinda odd to specify a diet which is potentically harmful. i wouldnt do it if i were you.

really you pretty much burn off enough calories dancing and if you dont eat junk food (i cant live without
) then youll be a stick by the end of a week |

You'll be really tired and have no energy and stuff. Eat less junk, eat a healty diet and do exercise.

the juice diet is a fast, you're getting LESS than 1000 calories a day with those, initially you will lose weight because your body is dropping water, but then it goes into starvation mode, your body will start hording all the calories it can get and turn them into fat, it'll take you months to get your body back to normal, months of storing fat because your body thinks that food is scarce. please, please don't do it |

*hugs* sorry if I sounded harsh. I've been on and off so many diets that I'm still trying to get my body back to normal.
if you do want to start a diet, talk about doing it with your mom. for one it'll be easier to stick to it when you have someone else to talk about it with. for two your mom will be able to steer the both of you to healthy diets instead of the scary wasting away on juice and pretzels diet. WORST DIET EVAR: (IMHO) Cabbage Soup diet. You eat a normal breakfast and nothing else but cabbage soup all day. a Barbazon modeling rep told me that I had to go on that diet when I was 11 or 12 because I was a few pounds heavier than she wanted me to be (woman looked 300 lbs herself) |
