I started dancing at age 18 last July. I am a long time ballet dancer, and I have always had serious problems with fitting into ballet/jazz/tap, etc shoes. I have a narrow heel, but very wide foot.

I recommend Fay's 100%! I went ahead and invested in the most expensive shoes they had. I did try on all they offered at the NANs last year. I was very impressed with the $65 Celtic Choice. SO MUCH more comfortable than a ballet shoe! Landing and standing on the toes is much easier because the padding absorbs some of that impact. I find pointing very easy in these as well. Also... they look beautiful on my feet.

I am a size 8 1/2 to 9 in American shoes, but bought a size 6.5. So it sounds like you are probably right with sizing.

I hope I helped, but be sure to pick the shoes that are best for you! Going to a fitting would be best. Maybe you should see if their is a feis that will be close to you and maybe their will be a vendor there?

Good luck.
