Default Swift Movement

My teacher used to tell me that I need to be more energetic, but now she says that I need to make my movements more swift. How do I do that without looking unenergetic?

Well what she means by swift is probably graceful and elegant.
So think of it that way.
But of course you need the energy so don't get rid of that too.
You can be "Swift" & "Energetic" at the same time.
Just be graceful with the lifts and the energy will push them up higher.
Giving YOU a Example.

well whenever you watch some of the parade of champions you will see they are so sharp and pointed. They move fast across the stage with a lot of energy. Maybe you should study them. That's what I like to do, watch how the pros move and see if it can help me with my dancing.
