I just went to a Feis, and I didn't do as well as I hoped. When I asked my Mom why she thought I didn't do well she said that I looked like I wanted to be anywhere but that Feis which is NOT TRUE. I know that I tried really hard to smile, but I just can't. My Mom said that even the way I moved my body looked that was. How can I look like I'm really enjoying myself?

I have sort of the same problem.I always get told that I don't look like I'm enjoying myself but I really am,and I always think I'm smiling but everybody says I don't.Evidently I smile while I'm on stage then the second I start dancing my smile vanishes.I think it helps to practice in front of a mirror, but if anyone could give me some help to that would be great.

ARE you enjoying yourself?
If you are, you should be able to smile!! Get your friends to crack jokes or something before you go on; I don't really care what you do but smile! Make sure you show teeth, it looks strange when you just turn up the corners of your mouth. Try not to force it but force it if you have to. Just make it look like you're having fun. If you're not, well, maybe you shouldn't be there... |

I REALLY enjoy it! There isn't anywhere I'd rather be! I just loose it after I start dancing.
