Unhappy report card blues

Hey everyone, I just got my report in the mail today and everyone got good grades but me It's really bumming me out because I simply don't understand algebra 2! I want to do well, but when I'm worried about how I'm doing in school, it really affects my dancing. Which makes me that much more bummed. siiiiiiigggggghhhhhhhh. But I guess I just need to keep rolling.. What do YOU guys do when your mind is in fritz like mine? How do you keep it all balanced?

Just don't fret! And stay organised.

My first term of high school, I got one A, two Cs, and a D. This was because I didn't try very hard. Now that I've been trying to stay organised and turn in what I do, my grades have shot up.

I know how you feel. Just do your best, ask for help when you need it (REALLY!) and stay organised.

See you on the Honour Roll!

Just remember to work your very hardest, and if you don't understand a subject like Algebra 2 make sure you ask for help.I'm sure your teachers can help you understand as long as you ask for help.

Ask your teachers they are there for a reason - and that is to TEACH you how to do it And as for your dancing - Dont think about school when doing it and at school dont think about dancing

School is like dance: most of the time, the harder the work, the better you'll do, but sometimes even when you work your hardest you'll still be dissapointed.

The thing about algebra is that LOTS of people have problems with it. That makes it a lot easier, because there are dozens of websites that give you tips. If your teacher and the book you're using are confusing you, try to find a website that makes more sense or ask a friend to help you study.Once you understand what you're learning, getting good grades is easy. I know, because last semester I took algebra in college, and I wasn't doing well at all the first half of the semester. Then suddenly halfway through the class I started getting all As. I ended up with an A plus (because the teacher curved the grades).

I'm having a ton of trouble with algebra 2 as well! It's really hard, so you just have to make sure to go to your teacher with questions before every test. You can also get your friends to help you, and always do all of the review sheets/review problems you can before tests and quizzes. That should help a lot!

Don't worry - I just started Grade 10 and I'm about to get my report - my marks aren't that great - but just persevere you will get through it. And try make your parents understand. It will be OK.
