I'm really upset right now because I don't have a solo dress or a school dress. I just switched to a newer school that doesn't have school dresses yet (long storyyyy...) and I can't get a solo dress because evidently you can get disqualified in Beginner 2 with a Solo. Long story short, I have to wear a shirt and white blouse, and I'm 15! Soo embarrassing. Does anyone else have to do this? I really don't want to, but I know I need to compete to get a solo, and our school dress won't be here until like September.

I actually saw a lot of dancers in skirts and blouses in over 15 Beginner 2 when I was in that category. In my region, a lot of dancers wear a plain black dress with a cape even in novice.

I think you should still compete! I've seen girls in PRELIM wearing just a black t-shirt and a black skirt! And ya know what?...SHE CAME IN FIRST PLACE! You shouldn't let what you wear bring you down! If you dance your best, you'll be positivley 1st.

You should still compete! And, hopefully you won't be without a solo for very long
You can look very elegant in a simple white blouse and black skirt!
