Default What else do you learn from Irish Dance other than dancing?

I was thinking about all the things we've learned from Irish Dance in addition to dancing. Some of it's been good and some of it's been bad (sadly) but I was wondering what are some of the really good things you or your child have learned since they started ID. I'm going to start with just a few, but I know I'll come back and list some more later...

That if you work really hard at something, you will be rewarded- but not always by the adjudicator!!

That feeling good about yourself isn't measured in medals and trophies, but in the feeling of a job well done.

That it's more important to learn to be a good non-winner than in being a winner- and a lot harder

That it never hurts to congratulate someone else

That being part of a team is a joyful thing....
