I'm not doing anything much, apart from the usual back garden fireworks. My dad told me that one of my ancestors was involved in the gun powder plot...Random piece of information

In South Africa we always have some fireworks displays, but these are becoming increasingly unpopular because of the distress they cause animals. I must admit I boycot them myself for that very reason, unless they're held in safe, faraway places. But I still remember the huge bonfires of my childhood. And I was only allowed a sparkler!?

Yes, here we have some firework displays, and alot of complaining about the noise and the distress for animals, but unfortunately that just spurs these silly kids on and gives them more of an insentive to fool about with them. I can't see whats wrong with going to watch a nice safe firework display, why do they have to spoil it for everyone else?

Gun powder plot?

Was that when a guy tried to blow up the British parlaiment (gosh I can't spell) or something?? Was it in V for Vendetta??? This sounds super familiar.

Well I wish I was! But sadly nobody else here celebrates it, so even though we're English, we can't really do anything except light a little fire in our backyard chimnea
Oh well! That's fun anyway!
