Unhappy Knee pain??Help!

Hi! So I have been having this really weird knee pain. It's on my left leg. My knee looks bigger, and hurt on the inside near the bottm. It hurts when I walk down thestairs and when I get up from a chair. I have been putting some Icy-Hot on it and it does feel better for a little while. Any ideas on what is wrong??A lot of people in my studio have knee problems( slipping kneecap, and one is dancing on a fractured kneecap). What do I do?!? Please help me! I can't stop dancing!!

I wuld definatly check with ur docter...but, i have a knee problem called osgood schlaghters. The tendon tht raps around my knee isnt growing as fast as the bone tht it is rapped around, causing the bone 2 pull out. The bone pulls ou, and can start 2 chip. it hurts REALLY bad, and my doctor said tht running was really bad 4 it, so i caouldnt do track, but tht dancing strengthens it! i dont o if this is wht u have, but hopefully it gets better! and talk 2 ur doctor

That sounds similar to something I had a few years ago. It hurt for a while, but then it went away on it's own gradually. I never actually stopped dancing, but it took months to get completely better, so it probably would have helped to take some time off.

Whenever you think you might be injured, it's a good idea to go to the doctor just in case it's something serious. But unless the pain is really bad, it might be good to wait a few days and see if resting it makes it go away on it's own.

Definatley check with your doctor and then see what he/she says, and then work from there, but make sure it's not just something that might go away quickly. I also have osgood schlaters, but before I had that, both my knees were just really sore, so I got this full knee brace that just really supports it and keeps the knee cap in place. When it's sore it's a big relief to put the brace on because it immediatly feels alot better.

Hope this helps a bit...

Default Thank you everyone!!

Thanks for all of your advice!! I will check with my doctor, and hopefully all will be well! I would take a break, but I'm going to NANs in a month(yay!!), so I really can't. I'll tell you how it goes I noticed it hasn't been hurting so much, now, so thats good!
