Angry My Hardshoes Won't Break In!?

I've had them for 3.5 years! I have folded them back and forth over and over again, gotten them wet and walked in them, danced in the constantly, tried the leather softener...NOTHING seems to work!? Will they ever break in???!

Hmmm...Depending on your age, have you tried doing toes in them? Its supposed to be a good method. Other than that...3.5 years? They may be unbreakable. What brand are they?

Yeah that is a little unheard of. None of my friends have had trouble with their hard shoes breaking in. If you can't seem to find a solution ask your teacher.

I have Rutherfords and found them quite easy to break it. I wore them all the time-eating, doing school work, sitting at the computer, sleeping etc. for a few day and also I danced in them and tried toe walks. Also, some people say rubbing the leather with Vaseline helps. I've never tried it, but it might work.

My hard shoes took nearly a year to break in, but my sister just got the same brand a couple days ago and says they're already almost completely broken in. Maybe it has something to do with the shape of the foot or something.

What I did that finally worked is putting rubber bands around them to keep them folded over whenever I wasn't using them.

Maybe they are broken in and you just don't know it. I have Rutherfords and I could dance in them on day one.

try bending them in half so that the tip of the toe is touching the inside of the heel then tape them up so that they stay like that and leave them for a couple of days and then undo them, it worked for mine eventually

it seems like u have been bending them a lot, and as many people have said, i would try toe walks. just wear them around, u don't necessarily have 2 b dancing 2 break them in. about 4 months ago, i got some fay hard shoes, they broke in rite away! but 2 moths ago i got new 1s(my feet r growing like crazy!), and i have already broken them in!

Oh...that's strange. I have Rutherfords (and I know, I know, everybody on here's saying they're amazing to break in) but, they actually were terrible breaking in!!! I'm getting Fays, and I strongly reccomend them, as (I think) they break in quite easy! Best of luck!
