Default Hard Contacts

Does anyone here have hard contact lenses? I do. I wish I had the soft, disposable kind. The hard ones get dry very easily--sometimes if they get too dry they will slide into the corner of your eye and you have to pluck it out with a little plunger!! They can also get dirt under them and the pain is horrible!! but I only know people with the soft kind...who has hard like me?

My mom had hard ones for many years. She was unable to wear the soft ones. SHe had drops she could put in to keep them wet enough, so you might check into that. They were a pain, and she finally gave up, but she did wear them for many years. She still puts them in if she has to dig up a tree stump in the rain or something like that.

I don't...but I know a girl that does...she puts drop on them and one day it moved further back than it should and she was in so much pain that she started digging into my arm with her nails!!! One night she sticked her finger in her eye trying to check if they were still in!!!

OMG I don't wear contacts at the moment. I've always wanted to and I was looking into getting a pair. I'm going to ask my optometrist if I can wear the soft contacts. I really hope that I can. It sounds like it would be very painful.

I have the soft ones, but my dad has the hard ones and he says they're miserable! I feel really sorry for you!

Actually it's not one of those things you should consult your eye doctor about. It happens all the time.
