Anything can be said in a tactful way, even "I hate". What's wrong with "I hate crime"? I understand that it can be hurtful in some ways, but, as in the real world, we must always be tactful. I heard a saying, "The art of being tactful is the ability to tell someone to go to ... in a way that'll make them look forward to the trip". I think that is so true. If people were always tactful, the world would be a far more pleasant place!

its really a thread to share what you don't like. idm wouldn't of put it there if they thought it would of caused problems. Yes "HATE" is a strong word but most people use it in their daily lives. they say it even when they don't mean it. it is an unfortunate word but as seddon said they have "love" on here and that is a strong word too. its a place where someone can see what people dislike things and we can get to know eachother better. i don't think personally there is need to get rid of it cause if we did there wouldn't be posts like this on it. we just need to be careful in the way we use the word because it might offend. even if you don't like the word you can still post your threads on here saying you just dislike somthing. if you just distingush between hate and just dislike then we can see what you mean

sorry if it sounded mean i didn't mean it too

I was just thinking that it could create negative talk about other people, that is the only thing that I'm worried about.

Yes, but because we're not, it is so heartwarming to hear the opinions of the ones that churn things over, test them, and reveil bits of wisdom to the world. Thanks for choosing to make nice comments so no one gets hurt.

That wasn't mean! That wasn't even harsh! You were voicing an opinion which should be heard because it's a very good opinion! Exactly, it shouldn't be banished but it should be handled maturely. In our every day lives, we don't think of words like love and hate as strongly as they are. We just use them to voice an opinion. Without threads like this we wouldn't know much about a person at all.

i hope it doesn't come to hurting people on here. everyone tends to not hurt anyone or produce posts that will hurt people. i hope this website stays that way and we are all mature enough to actually not take anything to heart or actually say anything that someone would take to heart. its just here to suppress their opinions.

thanks hopback23 i'm glad you didn't think it was harsh cause i don't tend to do stuff like this, i feel i have changed slightly and i thought it might of sounded harsh to the people who started this thread. as you said everyone has their own opinion./

I think the i hate thread is ok for expressing opinions on certain things but some of the stuff here get out of hand which is a problem so i think it can be useful for some things
