I was at the East Durham NY feis last weekend, and it was so hot out that they made an announcement saying we didnt need to wear wigs or dresses!
I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else, and how common it is. |

i was at one feis and it started pouring. they asked the dancers if they wanted to dance and we said yes and we only had to do one step on our right and left foot since the stage was flooding. haha sorry this had nothing to do with how hot the feis was and yeah we had to wear our wigs.

I think that sometimes they do that for this one feis when it becomes over 100 degrees, but I've never been there when that's happened!

thats actually pretty cool! Its good to know that there was somebody there concerned about the well being of all of the dancers. Did you just go on stage in your warm-up gear and pony-tails??

Ugh, that's the problem with Scotland. No sun! And all our feis's are indoors unless we are doing a performance or something. Wish something like that would happen. Or we only had to do one step for some reason except step about...

I think it was around 100..
even the jusges took a break to change into lighter clothes! lol I thought it was pretty cool though, because it felt like we were being judged more on our dancing skills rather than appearance even though i know they don't do that. |
