I have glasses and I wear them at a feis, my friends say that they suit me better than with no glasses. I don't care what people say, I'd be lost (literally!) without them on.

Astigmatism is sort-of short sightedness that you can grow out of if you're a kid but a lot of people don't. My sister and dad have it and they just wear glasses some of the time. I'm very short sighted, if I took my glasses off I wouldn't be able to see this computer screen!

I wear glasses, and I have contacts. Sometimes I wear my contacts during competition, but I mostly I don't wear my glasses at all. I've seen people at my Oirecahtas wear glasses during the comeptition, and they have recalled! Most people don't wear their glasses during the comeptition because they don't think it looks very good. I like the look of glasses! It makes you look smart! Lol! Hope I helped

what me and my mom have noticed...when people get glasses they stop placing as well. sometimes they can overcome that...but most just wear contacts so they don't have a "disadvantage" because most competitors (esp. champs) dont wear glasses...i have contacts now and personally i think it's worth it. it just depends if you look better with or with out glasses...(some people look better with glasses)

I've seen many people wear glasses while dancing at competitions. So i don't see why not.
I've got glasses but I don't wear mine cause I can still see without but my seeing isn't perfect.

In JIG, I saw dancers at the World's wearing glasses! So I think it's just fine, as long as you can see and they're not bouncing around bothering you.

Default Glasses

I think, that is really only up to you. No one can´t tell you that you can ´t wear them. May be, you can try contacts. But If you have not any problem (glasses fall down during the dance...) it is ok. I have glasses too but I do not wear them to dancing bedouse they always fall down.

Default Nope

A lot of girl don't wear them, but those that do are fine. A girl in my competition went to nationals wearing glass and got like 37th? I think.
