Tell me what you guys think.
Twas the night before the feis and all throughout the house, not a creature was stirring, not even the mouse. The capes were hung by the closet with care, in hopes that a trophy would soon be there. The dancers were all snuggled in their beds, while visions of medals danced in their heads. And mum in her gown and the cat in my lap, had just settled our brains for a long night's nap. When on my dresser was such a clatter, I rose from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to my beeping alarm clock like a flash, fumbled for the snooze button but ended in a smash. All I could say was whoa, as I thought about pointing my toe. My brain finally began to clear, as the hour of eight drew near. To get my blood moving I did a big click, only to remember my butt needs to be kicked. I then imagined my first name, would one day be proclaimed. "Now sweetheart," mum said, "listen." "It's time to go and make sure your tiara will glisten." We left our home for the big hall, I crossed my fingers for a recall. I began to stretch out my thigh, at the same time my make-up was applied. I was ready to go as I put on my shoe, my dress sparkled a pretty blue. I danced my reel without goof, knowing my skills were proof. I caught my breath and sat on the ground, as I waited for the next round. Hardshoe was just as good with perfect foot, I wondered where I would be put. I was hungry so I ate a snack, only to find out they want me back. I felt very merry, to hear my name Terri. I did my set it would flow, I smiled as my heart would grow. My happiness could not be hidden underneath, as I thought about holding the winner's wreath. My legs are tired and feel like jelly, I suddenly noticed the nearby deli. I sat down by myself, daydreaming about my trophy shelf. Again my name was said, I nearly choked on my bread. Surely I didn't win, my brain has gone beserk, but toward the top of the podium I lurked. I was given a trophy and soon posed, later to be handed a red rose. The loud sound of the whistle, and soon I was given dismissal. Nothing could describe the sight, because I was ready for night. |
