My mom hates the USA, so we don't usually celebrate Thanksgiving very much! I know it's awful! Not my choice!

i'm not from the usa! here in england we celebrate bonfire night/guy fawkes. its actually on the 5th november but fireworks are going off about a week before until about a week after.
so yeh, there is a big bonfire, a firework display, sparklers and then a bbq and jacket potatoes eaten outside normally its freeeezsing cold on bonfire night, but due to the wierd english weather, this year it has been really warm and i havent even needed a coat at all the displays i've been to!

In Australia we dont have any special days that we celebrate for in November but we do have Australia Day in January. When my mum was small they had a bonfire and cracker night but now fire crackers are banned and you have to have a licence to let them off so no more cracker nights.

Guy Fawkes (13 April 1570 – 31 January 1606), was a member of a group of English Roman Catholics who attempted to carry out the Gunpowder Plot, an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill King James I of England, to destroy Protestant rule by killing the Protestant aristocracy, on 5 November 1605.
