Default New Move!

Hiya, I just learned a new move, it's that move where you sorta switch your feet in and out, in and out going backwards (and sometimes forwards) but Jean Butler and Michael do it in the dance "Riverdance" in the show, where they keep stepping backwards while switching their feet in and out.. Bernadette Flynn does it too in LOTD in breakout, u know what I'm talking about? how many of you can do it?

I know which one you mean. I taught myself to do it ages ago from watching. But I haven't used it since.

You mean like a charleston sort of move?
If so, we used to do it in our slip jig and do it in our reel now.

Well, the charleston is the dance where you swivle your feet in and out, crossing each infront of the other. In the charleston you also wave your hands around...not in ID hopefully!!

I'm sure I know what you mean...Ye I do that in many of my dances. It's in my Three Sea Captains. I love it because it's so simple, but looks REALLY impressive!!!

I don't think we have a name for it

I do that in my slipjig and we call them "hop back, back, backs". They're so much fun if you do a bunch in a row.
