Exclamation Write a Christmas Poem..Win 500 points

It's that time in December when we all start to get the urge to don a red hat and waltz about the the tones of White Christmas and in my case Rudolf the Red nose Reindeer! Today's has been a mementos day in the IDM office as the Christmas tree arrived. Man it's huge. 9ft tall to be precise. We ordered a tidily 5fter but they delivered a 9ft by mistake! Woo hoo! Lucky us. So we've spent the afternoon decorating it... getting in the Christmas swing of things.

And, it seems you lot have been following our lead as the forums re a hive of Christmas activity. We love the new posts that are springing up left right and centre on anything and everything to do with Christmas. Make sure you check them out this weekend. Plus we will be giving an extra 500 profile points to the members who comes up with a Creative Christmas poem in the next week. So get writing! Points will be awarded on Friday 14th December!

Here's mine!!!

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Christmas is a time of love

Where our peace sign is a dove.

Christ was born on this day,

So shall we shout "Hip Hip HORRAY!"?

Snow is falling to the ground,

Tumbling, Bumbling without a sound.

As we drink cocoa under our blanket,

We all hope ol' St. Nick will make it.

The next day we'll see

presents galore.

You can possibly want no more.

Christmas is a time of peace.

That night we have a big feast.

We grace, we eat, we pray to the Lord,

We sing carols door-to-door and they are adored.

Christmas is a time of love,

So let your peace flow like a dove.

MERRY
CHRISTMAS!!!!

hello. I am going to try and make one up.

Santa is coming very soon
I can't wait to see the moon
Christmas is going to be so much fun
So much fun for everyone

I can't wait to see peoples smiles
When they get a big piles
Of toys and games
And see labels with their names

Is that ok?

The chill in the air gives us crackly hair,
And icy cold toeses and bright shiney noses.
The people are bustly and packages are rustly
For Christmas is here- the time of great cheer.

The lights are all shiney, and the air smells all piney,
The bells are a ringing and people are singing,
The snow it is falling and relatives are calling
For Christmas is here- here come the reindeer.

The tree’s in the house, and cheese for a mouse,
There’s Bells on the door and tinsel on the floor
Packages are piling and everyone’s smiling,
For Christmas is here, the best time of year.

So give us some smiles, and travel some miles,
Call all of your pals, both the boys and the gals,
Wish everyone well, let your hearts swell
For Christmas is here- And you’re all so dear.

We need to rest, sleep and sound
Cause Santa is coming around

On Christmas day we open the door
And what do we see? Presents galore!

Candy and dolls
Games and balls

Santa has left gifts under the tree
Gifts that will surely fill us with glee

We play for hours
These toys are now ours

Our friends drove for miles
Just to see our smiles

Christmas is here
And it's filled with cheer

Merry Christmas!

Sorry not the best

20 Minutes to Midnight, and Mr. Claus

I stare at my computer screen.
20 minutes,
brilliant sheen.
19 minutes to my dream.
Slipping down the stairs... 18 minutes now it seems!
17 minutes, now I dream,
quickly Lexi, pour that cream!
Only 15 minutes more!
Waiting waiting at the door!
14 minutes steaming steaming.
The coffee we put down, sits their gleaming, beaming.
waiting for the man to drink.
waiting for the man to sink,
down the chimney, quickly, quick.
Hope the chubster doesn’t stick.
Me and Lexi hiding more.
Hiding behind the kitchen door.
crouching, hiding on all fours.
1 minute now to the end of my scheme.
Then the fat man in all the Christmas song themes,
was standing right there in front of me!
Santa! Santa! I did scream.
Lexi and I made a good team.
We finally caught Mr. Claus by surprise.
And there was that twinkle in his eyes.
He left us presents and left the prize
of a sleighbell of the smallest size,
and up the chimney he did rise.
flying flying to the skies.
