Default Sweating profusely- esp. hands and feet?

If you sweat a lot when active that is perfectly normal. If you sweat even at rest and have a problem with your hands and or feet sweating profusely then you might have hyperhidrosis. Don't panic, it's just a long name for a specific sweating pattern but over the counter products are not going to help you. As a nurse , I run into patients with this occassionally and a lot of them were not even aware that it has a name and web site with suggestions to help. Try and stay away from the sites that promise a cure as only surgery can do that and it has it's own side effects. Your Dr. can order a prescription deoderant that might help. Wearing sweat wicking clothes and having a towel around are all that is really needed for dance class.

Yes I've heard even the clinical strength over the counter one's aren't that helpful, nor good for you,I use one made with cotton insted of metal it's from addidas and works really well, but it isn't an anti prsirant.

I have the same issues because I'm a swimmer. (Swimmers tend to sweat more when they are out of the water because they aren't use to it when they are in the water.) When I go to dance practice I always bring a wash rag with me and when i go to take a break and get some water I quickly wipe my face and neck dry. It seems to work.

I have the same problem!!! I don't think that there is anything wrong. I'll be half way through my warm ups and be sweating, it looks like someone dumped a bucket of water over me. My step dad said that I just don't hold my water/liquids so I sweat. Hope it helps!!
