Default schools

Hi everybody
I was at dance class and we were talking about school and a lot of people in my class go to private school. what schools do you go to and do like it or not (or both) and why. i go to public school and i like it cause we can wear what ever we want (within reason) and we get help from the goverment. but i hate my school mostly because the teachers are so retarted. i had to get 3 grades changed cuz he graded them wrong.

I am homeschooled, and it's kind of nice sometimes because it doesn't take as much of my time, so I have more free time than most kids my age, but sometimes being with my family ALL the time drives me crazy!

I'm homeschooled. I love it because I can study what I want, when I want, and the way I want, and I have much more time to do the things that interest me. I'm very happy with it and wouldn't want it any other way. I plan to homeschool my children when i have them!

I go to a catholic school ... and i hate it. I don't know about anywhere else, but here it's like everyone's forgotten that the point of a school is education, not forcing people to do a million cultural activities. They're ultra strict on the uniform, but what's uniform got to do with education?!? but also i hate school anyway so when i grow up i'm planning on homeschooling my children too.

I go to a catholic school run by the Holy Faith sisters.....St. Mary's Holy Faith Secondary School for girls, killester, dublin.

In Ireland we don't really have public schools like in the U.S. but some schools get more state funding than others. There are Vocational schools (V.E.C.) that get loads of funding these are often known as "techs" (technical schools) or Community Schools (this is the new name) and are often non-denominational. The majority of schools are catholic church run schools, these are sometimes known as parish schools or have a religious order that own them (e.g nuns or brothers). Private schools are schools where you pay a large fee (thousands of euro)per year to attend as opposed to a small contribution (about 100euro) per year. Some private schools are non denominational, some are catholic and a few are protestant. most private schools would've most likely have been boarding schools in the past and some still are.
