I wrote this on the back of a booklet during an English Lesson that I had to sit in and evaluate ... My favourite stanza is definitely the third one, I think ...
Huddled in the far off corner A blanket on my knee The telescope by my side So that I can see. Shivering in the darkness Kneeling on the grass A camera round my neck The night so to pass. Looking at the stars Noting down the sight Camera now in action Capturing the night. Sunrise coming swiftly, Banishing the stars, Hiding every whisper, Every tiny glance of Mars. But I'll be back tomorrow In the evening, I'll come And gaze again at them, 'Till my fingers then are numb. |

I wanted to take a GCSE in Astronomy but I was too busy and so it didn't work out. Which is a shame, because it would have been fun. My sister took one. She had to make a sundial and she trod on it and the metal went through her foot ... :/

Aww, that's a shame. You should have kept it up so that you didn't forget it
