I'm a freshman in high school, and I just joined my school's speech & drama team. I signed up to do an Original Oratory, and I was thinking of writing it about Irish dance, since I feel so passionate about it. Although I've never done speech team before, I did some research and read some guides about writing OO's, and I understand that to have a good format for the essay I need a specific thesis. I was thinking of doing my speech as an informative rather than persuasive speech, but I'm not sure how to form a good Irish dance-related thesis for an informative speech. Any ideas/advice?

thats tough. i guess you could do it on how hard you have to work or something. ive written a thesis before and i dont really see how you could make one out of irish dance. what if you wrote a thesis and used irish dance to support it? the thesis doesnt have to be strictly about irish dance, but use irish dance as an example to provide proof and support for your statement.
