Level: Visit Studio2Stage’s website for information on auditions for this program. Dancers must be reasonably proficient in Irish Step Dance and be dedicated and passionate about live performance. The cast of studio2stage are chosen from an audition process and the panel is made up of the choreographers and the musical directors. Space is limited, so audition as soon as possible to secure a spot on the cast.
The Cast Member Program: Now eight years strong, Studio2stage has launched many dancers’ professional careers. The cast member program offers a complete performance and production experience for Irish Dancers and musicians over the course of nine amazing days. Dancers and musicians learn about show performance and are cast of a full-scale Irish Music & Dance Show performance for two performances at the spectacular Wilkins Theatre. Every participant will be on stage performing to a full house refining their stage presence and performing with confidence. Studio2stage is an incredible experience for any dancer making the transition or thinking about becoming a professional performer. The cast will also perform on Times Square in New York City! With Studio2Stage dancers acquire the single most important thing show producers are looking for which is experience performing in a fully live production to a full theatre audience! Another cool aspect of this program is that all performers receive a per diem payment for their show performances in line with the current rate for touring shows.
The Junior Day Workshop Program is for younger musicians (aged 10-14) and dancers (aged 10 to 21). The workshop students will also perform in the shows. Candidates for the day workshop program are required to audition for the workshops and if successful will attend daily workshops with the studio2stage dance & music faculty.
