I chose a black base for my dress to represent power and elegance. The 5 lines on my dress represent a path or line I could choose to walk (or dance) on. I chose the color green for the gems and lines because green symbolizes nature, growth, renewal, health, and life. I chose 5 different shades of green, one for each of the symbolic meanings I did. I did the gems in a pattern that looks like stardust, so I like to imagine the symbolic Emerald lines starlit. Starlit means “lit up or illuminated by the light of the stars” and I thought it fitting that the paths that I want to dance down are lit by the stars.
