Aroon Academy

Aroon Academy of Irish Dance offers Irish Dance classes for children and adults in Richmond Hill, Ontario, serving dancers throughout York Region and the Greater Toronto Area.

Founded in 2013 by Eileen Westernacher-Paddags, TCRG, Aroon Academy provides a welcoming and encouraging environment where dancers can develop confidence, fitness, coordination, stage presence and a lifelong love of Irish Dance. Classes are available for boys and girls ages 4+, from complete beginners through championship-level dancers, with both recreational and competitive opportunities. Adult Irish Dance and céilí classes are also offered.

Eileen brings extensive competitive and professional experience to her students. During her competitive career, she was a two-time Eastern Canadian Irish Dance Champion, achieved a top-five placement at the North American Irish Dancing Championships and placed 17th at the World Championships. She also toured internationally with Riverdance and Rhythm of the Dance.

Students at Aroon Academy have opportunities to compete in solo and team competitions, perform at community events and develop their skills in a positive environment that emphasizes hard work, friendship, teamwork and fun.

Aroon Academy of Irish Dance is a CLRG-affiliated Irish Dance school and is registered with the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada – Eastern Region.
