CD Health & Performance
CD Health & Performance
Founded by Exercise Scientist and former Irish dancer Ciara Dickson, MSc, CD Health & Performance is dedicated to helping dancers build strength, improve performance, and reduce the risk of injury through evidence-based training.
Recognizing the physical demands of Irish dance—including repetitive high-impact movements, long training hours, and limited support from dance shoes—CD Health & Performance provides science-backed guidance for dancers, teachers, and parents. Its programs take the guesswork out of cross-training by offering safe, effective exercises that complement dance classes and support year-round performance.
Designed to fit around the busy dance calendar, CD Health & Performance offers strength and conditioning programs that help dancers stay healthy, resilient, and competition-ready throughout the season.
Services include:
-
Quarterly strength and conditioning programs
-
One-on-one personal training (in Glasgow or via Zoom)
-
Educational workshops for dance schools
This summer, CD Health & Performance is launching its first quarterly training program, designed to help dancers build a strong foundation and prepare for the upcoming competition season. Spaces are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
