This dress is inspired by the costumes and story of Riverdance. The show explores the theme of oceans and water and I have represented that with the colours of the dress. When I was at the Riverdance Summer School this year I was inspired by the costumes and the backstory of the show. I visited the Emigration Museum in Dublin and learnt about how some Irish people travelled by boat to find a better life during hard times in Ireland and how water and the ocean is an important symbol in Riverdance and for Ireland. I am sure my dress would look very exciting on stage and be a unique design.
