More than a Melody is a unique, music themed design. On the back, I included a Dara Celtic knot which means endurance. I decided to incorporate this into my design because nearly a year ago I was diagnosed with a chronic condition that has made it a lot harder for me to keep up with dance. Although some days are really hard, I'm still putting in the fight to dance and reach for my dreams. Dance to me is therapeutic but at times, no matter how much I want to dance, I simply don't feel up to practicing, and I've learned to accept that.This is where the piano keys come into play. A few months ago, as I wasn't feeling very well, I was looking for something to do that didn't involve having a lot of energy. I decided to brush the dust off the piano and try to play it. Almost immediately, I was hooked! It felt like magic! The melody flowing from my fingertips was more than beautiful, it was therapy! Ever since I began to play, I have found not only joy, but the same healing that I find through dance! Both dance and piano have a special place in my heart, and help carry me through each day of my life. I added a butterfly to my design because I believe that each moment of my life, both good and bad, happens for a purpose to help me transform into the best person I can be. I chose to use blue because it's my favorite color!
