Sky is No Limit for Roses
Story of Your Design
I designed this dress for my older sister. She recently started Irish dancing and now it's time for her to get her very special dress! I enjoy drawing and designing things and would like to be a designer in the future. I thought that I could surprise my sister with a solo dress designed for her and by the same thing start my own designer's portfolio.
I created a dress in coral and sky-blue colours, because this colour range is stylish and matches with my sister's colour type very well.
The Celtic patterns and especially the scarf on the back show origins of Irish dancing and procure the dancer with symbolism and magical power: the symbol of infinity is for the legs to never stop moving, the embroided braids symbolize the support from all those who cheer for the dancer, and the pattern in the center is for good luck. I added crystals onto the mesh sleeves to make the look of the dress more vibrant and spectacular. The underskirt is supposed to be dark-red to uphold a balance of colour and to showcase the beautifully tanned legs of the dancer.
I hope my sister will win her most precious medals and titles with this dress charged with love and care!
